My name is Tatiana Medina from childhood living in the same neighborhood and here we celebrated Christmas in a special way, greats and smalls we joined to do different things each year. We sometimes did wreaths for  in every home. Also we were made colored topknot for Christmas trees at friends while, we were doing natilla, buñelo and hojuelas also butter cookies and others delights, after sharing Christmas dinner with each family. Then all my friends and i hung out and sit to talk, realms of ourselves and sometimes we threw flour, it was fun, we always had something nice to do, between meals and Christmas decorations, all remember these as the best.

I was born in Istmina -Chocó on june 1,1991. My neigborhood is characterized for being very calm. The neighbors are very good people. I remember when I was 8 years old, I played with my friends at ringing the bell of the houses in the neighborhood. On vacation from school, I traveled to Quibdó with my sister. In school, my favorite subjects were biology and artistic. At this moment, I live alone here in Medellin. I go to visit my famili on vacations. In christmas, we met in the house of my uncle on my dad´s side after 12 a. m. We celebrated in my grandmothes house with liquor,food,and traditional sweets. My family ate graper for prosperity after mednight to recive the new year.

WHEN I WAS A CHILD

I was born in medellin but I grew up in guarne

My neighborhood was located in a forest. There were two stores. One of them was next to my old house. There was a park where there were games and internet cafes. Behind the houses was the forest and the rural road. My friends and me played together everyday there.
My neighborhood was small but it had many houses. there were 10 or 12 houses. Each one next to the other.
 When I was a child. I remember that my family and I celebrated the birth of Jesus on christmas. We made a dinner and ate a lot of food such natilla and buñuelos. Also we had a barbecue. At 12pm the children received gifts such cars, toys, and dolls. It was very thrilling. Also We decorated the house with a christams tree, lights, garlands, and many things. After there was a party all night.

My Name is Katherine. I was born in sincelejo on december 23rd  1993 in the Peñitas Clinic. I was 50 cm tall. My family and most of my neighbors were very happy. 
When I was 3 years old I went to school. I studied at Gimnasio Altair de la Sabana. The teachers were very sweet and lovely with me. I Studied there for 10 years. In this school, they had a cultural week where most of the students whith our teachers organized dance parties and represented some contries. I'm Never going to forget this school. My Childhood was very happy with my grandparents, my parents, my sister, my brother and also with my neighbors. 
All of the people in my neighborhood celebrated special days together. Such as: birthdays, easter week, christmas, and others. 

Some of in my neighbors shared candy and they met to pray in easter week. 
In Christmas, on the day of the candles, I went out with my sister, my brother and  my friends. The next day at 5:00 am all of in my neighborhood went out to light the candles and my grandmother, my mother and I gave out chocolates and cookies to our neighbors. Also in my family were made the christmas prayers and also I went out with my friends to others christmas prayers all of my friends and I Ran for candy. 

My Father bought fireworks on decmber 24th. It was great. All of my family and my friends waited for the gifts together. then we went out to play with the gifts. 

My Father placed a glass of water with one eggs under the bed on december 31st. Then my father took the glass and interpreted his future at midnigth. 

Also we ate 12 grapes and we asked a wish for each grapes. then my parents, my sister and mybrothers took our hands and we prayed. Also my father watered incence through out the house. 
Finally I went out with my friends, we ran across the street congratulating all the neighbors 

I always lived in the same neighborhood (La Milagrosa). It's an amazing neighborhood. There are many things for example there is a big park. There is a church. There are two culture houses and  there is a small shopping center. The people are nice and friendly. I remember my childhood and some celebrations like Christmas. Christmas was really good when y was a child because my parents bought me new t-shits, jeans, sneakers and sweaters. My mom cooked a special dinner and my family came to my house. We met to talk and tell some anecdotes. Then we had a barbecue. My uncle Rodrigo always gave me money for candy but i didn't buy candy. I bought fire crackers. When the clock struck midnight, we prayed. After that, i slept early because i wanted to get my gift. The following day, when i had my gift, i played with it every day for two weeks with my neighbors.

my neighboorhood and christmas

When I was just a little girl, I was one of my mother´s eleven children; we were 6 brothers and 5 sisters including me. We lived in Bello for thirty years, the house we lived in was next to the park behind one of the very first presidents of Colombia´s house; his name was Marco Fidel Suarez.

The neighborhood was a happy place, and we had a lot of friends. We made shows and bonfires. We would play baseball and as well play hide and seek. We used to ride our bicycles. Last but not least we would play simple games without the use of any technology, it was a wonderful time.

Christmas was incredible. My mother lived with her best friend, her name was Maria. Maria helped my mother raise and take care of us. She would cook for us buñuelos, custard, and funnel cakes. Maria´s most special dish was a rice dessert, it was delicious. My mother would share that dessert with the neighbors. My father would make a variety of fried meats in the street, and my mother cooked a special dish for dinner.  Maria would hide baby Jesus and who ever found would win a prize. At 12:00 a.m. on Christmas day Santa Claus would bring us our presents. We would open our presents and show them the neighbors. After that we would burn fireworks; I was such an amazing experience every year

When I was seven years old, I lived in a big neigborhood. There were many parks and I enjoyed so much with my young brother there. We went to the park everyday and sometimes we played soccer with our friends. My house was near the shopping center and on weekends my family and I went there to eat ice cream or to buy things like clothes and toys. My brother and I walked every morning to the school because the school was very near my house. Sometimes I visited my friends after school and we played with dolls all afternoon. I enjoyed so much in my neighborhood, but my family traveled to Ibague to celebrate chritsmas every year. We went to my grandfather's house there and my grandmother cooked a delicious chiken for all the family.  I played with my cousin in chritsmas and we opened our gifts together. Also, I liked to go out with my father to Ibague city to see the lights in the parks.
So, this was the tradition every year to celebrate chritsmas.

When I was child. lived in San Rafael. In San Rafael, I went to school and did my communion first . Also there I learned to ride bicycle, too my brother was who taught me to ride bicycle. I was very naughty and I got in trouble  with my parents. I got lost of scars on my body by being very naughty.
Christmas was great because the family met with my grandmother to make donuts and custard. Also at night, we did the novena and sang carols. In the village people made holiday parades of myths and legends.
I remember that the people drank a lot of alcohol and they danced all night.
